On May 7, 1922, photojournalist Joe O’Donnell was born in Johnstown.

He is best known for documenting the aftermath of World War II in Japan, including the photograph often called The Boy Standing by the Crematory.

Looking ahead, the Johnstown Mill Rats are set to open their home schedule on Tuesday, May 26 against the Chillicothe Paints. It should be a fun start to the summer at the ballpark and a great chance to welcome Mill Rats baseball back to Johnstown. First pitch is scheduled for 7:00 PM.
