Johnstown Insider – Weekend Events March 19-22, 2026

It’s a big weekend for the community around Johnstown. Between local fundraisers, family-friendly Easter events, and a full lineup of live music, there are plenty of opportunities to get out, support local, and enjoy everything happening across the area.

This week marks 90 years since the St. Patrick’s Day Flood of 1936, when heavy rain and melting snow pushed local rivers over their banks and into the city.

In the years that followed, Johnstown saw major flood control work, including the deepening and widening of the river channels and the construction of the concrete walls that still define the riverbanks today.
