Father's Day weekend and the first weekend of summer are here, and there's no shortage of ways to get out and enjoy it. From free concerts, live theater, and festivals to Father's Day brunches, chicken BBQs, and family-friendly activities, we've rounded up the best events happening across the Johnstown region. Whether you're planning a date night, a family outing, or celebrating Dad, there's something on this weekend's calendar for everyone. Enjoy the weekend!

The Sunnehanna Amateur has been part of Johnstown’s sports history since 1954, when Sunnehanna Country Club helped introduce a new kind of championship golf.

At a time when most major amateur tournaments were match play, Sunnehanna used a 72-hole stroke-play format, becoming the first club-sponsored tournament of its kind in the United States.

More than 70 years later, it remains one of Johnstown’s signature sporting traditions, with past participants including Jack Nicklaus, Phil Mickelson, Tiger Woods, Jordan Spieth, Justin Thomas, and Collin Morikawa.

The cult-classic musical comes to Johnstown! Follow Seymour and Audrey II in this hilarious Broadway favorite presented by Log Art Theatre.

Cambria County Old Stone Jail, Ebensburg | Friday–Sunday

A weekend celebrating all things spooky with celebrity guests, vendors, paranormal attractions, entertainment, and family-friendly horror fun. Admission is free.

Windber Recreational Park | Thursday | 6:00 PM

One of Windber's signature summer traditions returns! Enjoy food, fun, and live music from Octane as Wings N Waves kicks off another season.
