This weekend brings some of the biggest summer events of the season to Johnstown and the surrounding area. From the Flood City Music Festival, Chalk the Block, and Ebensburg Homecoming to classic car cruises, live music, outdoor activities, and family-friendly fun, there’s plenty happening from Thursday through Sunday. Whether you’re planning a full festival weekend or just looking for one good event to check out, here’s your guide to what’s going on.

On July 23, 1908, John P. Saylor was born near Johnstown. He attended Johnstown public schools, practiced law in the city, and served as Johnstown city solicitor before representing the region in Congress for more than two decades.

Saylor later became known nationally for his conservation work, leaving a legacy that stretched from western Pennsylvania to America’s wilderness and scenic river protections.

The region's biggest music weekend returns with two days, three stages, and a packed lineup featuring The Disco Biscuits, Karina Rykman, Jennifer Hartswick Band, and more.

Spend Sunday exploring reptiles, unusual collectibles, and one-of-a-kind vendors. Admission is $6, while children 5 and under and active military or veterans are free.

The Johnstown Mill Rats are home at Sargent’s Stadium at the Point this week for their final homestand of the season before closing things out on the road.
