Happy Fourth of July weekend! This week marks 100 years since the first event was held at what is now Sargent’s Stadium at the Point. On July 5, 1926, the new stadium opened with a Middle Atlantic League baseball doubleheader between Johnstown and Clarksburg.

A century later, the Point is still one of Johnstown’s signature gathering places.

Friday – USA 250 Celebration: Parade, Baseball & Concert (Central Park, Downtown Johnstown) – Celebrate America's 250th with a downtown parade, baseball festivities, and an evening concert.

Saturday – Ebensburg America 250 Parade, Ceremony & Live Music (Downtown Ebensburg & Cambria County Courthouse) – Enjoy a patriotic parade, live music, guest speakers, and community festivities in Ebensburg.

Saturday – The Galleria Johnstown July 4 Fireworks Celebration (The Galleria Johnstown) – Celebrate Independence Day with a live DJ, free admission, family fun, and fireworks at dusk.
