Johnstown Insider – Weekend Events April 9-12, 2026

This weekend brings a great mix of live music, community events, and unique experiences across Johnstown and the surrounding area. From Riverdance at the War Memorial to hands-on workshops, fundraisers, outdoor walks, and plenty of local bands playing into the night, there’s something happening at every pace. Whether you’re looking for a night out, something creative, or a low-key way to spend the day, here’s your guide to what’s going on this weekend.

On April 14, 1834, the borough of Conemaugh was officially renamed Johnstown, taking the name of founder Joseph Johns.

Originally incorporated in 1831, the town soon grew into an important port and transfer point along the Pennsylvania Main Line Canal.
